libdevil-dev software package provides Cross-platform image loading and manipulation toolkit, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdevil-dev
libdevil-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdevil-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdevil-dev *
You will get with libdevil-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
